Chronic pain takes its toll on its victims in a physical, psychological and functional manner. Pain can negatively affect sleep, disrupt family relationships, cause poor work performance and put a strain on one’s entire lifestyle.

We Can Help with “tailor-made,” comprehensive treatment programs to meet particular medical and personal needs.

Our Philosophy: To keep patients pain-free, alert, functional and to avoid narcotics as much as possible. We accomplish this with up-to-date diagnostic and treatment techniques.

Our Mission Statement: To Advance “State of the Art” Medical Therapies Through Innovation.

Our Approach: To use various x-ray-guided injections in a modern operating room setting. We also use sedation whenever possible to reduce the pain and anxiety of the procedure.

Our Goals: We are committed to providing the latest in effective diagnosis and treatment to return patients back to work, decrease dependence on the health care system, and lead a more pain-free life.

A Highly Qualified Staff:

Advanced Pain Centers’ physicians and support personnel have extensive training and experience in the latest pain management techniques and procedures.

A rigorous program of continuing education is focused on maintaining and enhancing the knowledge and skills of the entire staff.

Additionally, our collective staff speaks the following languages: Spanish, Russian, Greek, Marathi, and English.

Advanced Training:

Both Dr. Lipov and Dr. Joshi and board certified anesthesiologists, fellowship trained in accredited anesthesiology-interventional pain programs, and board certified in interventional pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  This is the only accredited interventional pain fellowship by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

They believe highly in establishing a solid diagnosis and offering specific treatment plans that are appropriate for the diagnosis.  They do not believe in repeating procedures that do not help.

Most “pain physicians” do not have the qualifications Dr. Lipov and Dr. Joshi have.  They also may not have added to innovation or research.  However, they still perform procedures.  Some of them perform procedures “blindly”.  Patients who have not benefited from these physicians may need a reevaluation of what procedures are appropriate and if their previous procedures were performed appropriately.  We have helped patients from around the country in this situation.

Enhanced Technologies for Internal and
External Communications:

Optical scanning is utilized for processing and electronically filing patient charts, x-rays, diagrams and other records to:

Enable patient records to be electronically accessed by staff at any of Advanced Pain Centers’ locations and surgical facilities.

Facilitate prompt reporting to referring physicians, case managers and others, usually within 24 hours of the patient’s visit.

Include copies of x-rays, diagrams and other graphic material in reports when appropriate.
